Aisha (pronounced I-Sha which means Alive) is a very special girl looking for a very special home that will love her and take good care of her for the rest of her days. She has embraced her 2nd chance in life and is now thriving! She loves to lounge around, prance around and even short run spurts.
She arrived in rescue knocking on death's door, barely able to even lift her head. She was the victim of horrific cruelty. She was emaciated weighing 33 pounds, she weighs 60 pounds now. She fought with her housemate dog that she lived happily with for 5 years when they were so hungry and were vying for a rat to eat. Then she was beaten nearly to death by her awful human. Aisha is about 10 years old. Her whole journey can be seen along with a weekly photo journal of her journey back to health at (warning very graphic photos) https://www.facebook.com/media/albums/?id=211001505577861#!/media/set/?set=a.244341405577204.71544.211001505577861&type=1
Her first 10 days in rescue were touch and go but then she turned the corner and hasn't looked back. She's truly lucky to be alive. Her labs tests are now all within perfect range. She may be getting a bit of arthritis in her rear legs now but it doesn't stop her at all.
She absolutely loves people and holds no grudges. Giving and receiving love are her favorite things though. Now that she's healthy and feeling better, she's shown that she doesn't do well with other female dogs.
If you can open up your heart and home to this very deserving girl, please contact us.
You must be a homeowner and know this breed. You must have a securely fence yard for her safety. |
