Mulligan was picked up by a shelter as a stray that had been on his own for a while. He can be a little shy and guarded when he meets new people but it takes him no time at all to realize when someone is good and kind to him and responds in like.  He has become a very engaging, happy, lovable boy!  He is crate trained, will walk on leash and does well with the other smaller dogs he's been paired up with.  He even has respect for the old crotchety cat and will sit and wait for her to move if she's in the way of the water bowl or his crate for meal time.

He came to us with a lump under his neck.  It was a salivary gland issue.  He was seen at WSU Vet Services and received a CAT Scan.  We were prepared to have it removed by a specialist but they discovered it only needed to be drained.  They also found some long ago healed tiny fractures on some tiny bones on his neck so the cause was some sort of impact, likely a kick to the neck.  He has no issues now or expected in his future, thank goodness.

This boy has to have a securely fenced yard to keep him secure and safe, no exceptions.

If you think you can give him the 2nd chance in life he deserves, please submit our adoption application www.collarofhope.org

Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.
