 Amara is a darling girl who's been neglected in her life prior to ending up in a shelter.  She was matted, full of fleas and she was terrified in the shelter.  She's reserved when she first meets someone but once she knows you're a kind friend, she's very lovable.  A calm, quiet home would be best for her so she's comfortable. She did start to play with a foster chihuahua boy after a few days of meeting him too.   A home without young kids would be best for her.  The shelter listed her as 4 years but she's much younger, 18 months at the most.  She is terrible for the groomer and is the first dog we've ever had that we had to medicate to get her legs groomed so she had never been groomed before.  She needs someone with an experienced groomer to work with her and will allow medication for grooming needs.  She is fine with bathing and brushing at home in between grooming appointments, it's mostly her legs and she's just a little sensitive with her face area.
