About Molly

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
Attention...this dog is located in Yakima, WA., with Lifesavers Rescue. Please contact themat...lifesaversrescue@live.com This sweet, gentle girl is MOLLY. She is about 4 to 5 months of age. She weighs 17# and is about 14" tall at this time. She will grow another few inches and more in weight. MOLLY is the perfect size for a family dog with children in the home. MOLLY has the softest hair coat and very cute freckles on her nose and some light colored spots on the rest of her. Her hair coat will be short even though she is part Spaniel .I do believe she is a Brittany Spaniel mix. She has the light colored nose, the amber eyes, long legs and other looks of the Brittany. She has a long tail, pretty ears and a gentle personality. She will probably start getting some 'feathering' on her legs and ears in a few more months but will continue to have a short single coat. MOLLY has been in a home with a 12 and 14 year old teens and she loved them. They had interacted with her and the parents said what a kind, fun and smart dog MOLLY is. The children have allergies and were reacting to MOLLY so they had to return her to Lifesavers....and feeling very sad about not being able to keep her. MOLLY was saved from the death chamber in a California city shelter....in fact a city where they have filed for bankruptcy. It is city employees trying to handle all the dogs coming into the shelter and at times it is 75 dogs a day.....therefore after about 48 hours, many adoptable, healthy dogs are killed to make room for more coming in. The conditions in this shelter is NOT good. By working with people in southern California MOLLY was pulled after her hold, and taken to safety. She was spayed and then came on a transport all the way up to Seattle, WA area. Poor little thing had gone through so much for such a young pup but she is healthy, gaining weight, recovered from her surgery and has gotten 2 vaccinations and worming's. There is no background information on MOLLY so what we see is what we have. MOLLY is not a hyper dog. She loves playing with the other dogs and is gentle with them but when play time is over she settles right down. A secure fenced yard is MANDATORY since she doesn't know what cars and traffic and roads are like. The adoption fee for MOLLY is $225 to help cover SOME of the expenses of her spaying, vaccines and Rabies that have been done and also to help with the cost of getting her from San Bern up to Washington. FOR ADOPTION APPLICATION PLEASE EMAIL... ....lifesaversrescue@live.com Please do not contact Collar of Hope
