Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.

Duke is a the sweetest, most lovable, young boy who is deaf.  He's joyful, fairly active, outgoing and playful.  His foster has started teaching him training hand signals.  Deaf dogs do well learning American Sign Language as well.  His new family should be onboard with one of these 2 methods of communication with him.  2 months after arriving, he started having seizures.  They're controlled well with seizure medication and he's doing really good!
He loves other animals (dogs and cats) and kids too.  Being young, playful and deaf, he is still learning when an adult dog is done playing so if there's another dog in the home, they should always be supervised together and should be a kind soul while he's learning and acclimating to the new home and environment.
He was not crate trained when he arrived and he's taking to it well so far.
He appears to be a pit bull terrier mixed with a herding breed, so a smart cookie.
His life started with whomever had his mama leaving her litter of puppies in a box next to a dumpster.  People grabbed up the puppies but unfortunately, the person who got him was not allowed a pet in their apartment, that's when we stepped up to get him to a better start and life.

Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.
