Our website has information about our rescue, adoption process and link to our adoption application www.collarofhope.org RHEA IS HOPING FOR A FOSTER TO ADOPT HOME. She has an old break in her ankle, and she may have to have her leg amputated. She is going to need more vet appointments, so the foster home should be able to get her to her appointments or meet a board member. She is not a hiker or jogging kind of dog, but she loves to go on walks. She should not have a lot of stairs in her home. RHEA is a super sweet and fun loving girl who is looking for a mom (or two!) She gets along with dogs, but they have to be a calmer energy and not snarky or in her face. She's doing really well in a house. She likes to run zoomies around the yard and play in water and roll around in the grass . She's very affectionate and silly with her foster family and tries to get into their laps. She won't turn down a tummy rub! If you're looking for a nice dog to be your buddy, maybe RHEA's that girl! (She does prefer women to men, so an only female home is best.) We don't know how her leg was broken, but it may have been entanglement of a tie out line or done by a man as she is very guarded with men. She would do best in a home without a lot of people in and out. Preferably a quiet/low key home without children running around. She is being adopted out as a special needs dog due to her old injury. (and possible ambutation.) We are a foster home based rescue and have no facility to visit. Please visit our website directly to complete an online application.
