We are a foster home based rescue and have no facility to visit.
Prior to adoption, our dogs are spay/neutered, vaccinated including rabies/age appropriate, and parasite treated/prevented as a minimum.
Duncan came to us after his former owner could not take care of him any longer due to her own health. He lived with a senior lady and 5 year old dog. He had exposure with cats, dogs, kids but they were all family members so it took him a few days to warm up to us strangers and his foster friends. It only took him a few days before he was being lovable with us humans and another couple days to figure out which dogs he liked or didn't so much. He has no bite history but needs some socialization work. His new owners should be confident dog handlers for him to best adjust in yet another new environment. We are told he hates being brushed and has never been professionally groomed so we will see how that goes with our groomer this coming week and update. He was mostly kept in a crate or left in the yard so we're evaluating where his house manners are right now.
We feel that with a little effort, this guy will truly be gem for the right new family
