Mouse is a tiny old man (no idea what his age is) who's had a hard past life. He was half bald, missing all of his teeth and upon further diagnostics, we found a few other tell tale sighs. He has a healed fracture on the front and back of his head, and half his upper and lower jaw is missing. He definitely had a will to live to have survived whatever happened to him!
His labs came back that he's got thyroid disease so needs to be on inexpensive thyroid meds for the rest of his life with an annual test to insure the dose is still correct. He is thriving on Ziwi canned food that we mix the pate with warm water to make a bisque-like consistence so he can lap it up easily. His thyroid pill is crushed and put on top to insure he gets it all. This has to continue moving forward as he's doing great on it.
He should be kept in a smaller space with potty pads as he urinates a lot (thyroid thing) and his bladder is the size of a pea. But he will go outside when brought out and always poops outside.
If you have the home, life and heart to give this guy the best rest of his life, please submit our adoption application to get the process started.
