Hi I'm Sissy! My foster mom says I will be an amazing companion in the right hands, so hear me out. As you can see, I look like a beautiful black German Shepard, but medium sized like a herding breed. Pretty stunning if you ask me.
But I'm shy...very shy. I spend a lot of my time hiding from humans because I just haven't gained the trust yet. I'm working on it--I promise--but I need the people around me to be patient and work with me. I will let you pet me and even lick your hand when you're showing love to me, so you know I am trying so hard! When I get loose, I just run and won't let you catch me. Again, I'm working on it and my foster is working hard too, but it is mandatory that I have a securely fenced yard so I don't take off and you lose me. Please keep me safe! Leash walking me is the best bet and oh, did I mention I'm kind of terrible on a leash? I need work, or how you humans say "I'm a work in progress."
My foster mom says leash tethering to you as often as possible will be the key to continuing my progress. I'm still so young, I have so many years left to be trained to be the best dog you've ever had! Please give me a chance to show you. Dogs like me get overlooked because people think we're too much work, but I promise the love I will show you will more than make up for it. Please don't let me spend my life untrained and untrusting.
